I think "unusual pattern analysis" is at stake here,hence use of incidence,the frequency of such events occuring,tho' with so little context hard to know what nature of untoward events is meant.

neutral  David Moore: And where is the German equivalent?//My dictionary doesn't give "incidence" as a translation for "Auffälligkeit", so I'm interested to know where it came from - and so is the poster, I'm sure...
