Bus/Financial - Accounting / Jahresabschluss
German term or phrase: Rohgewinnaufschlagsatz
Context is the calculation of the profit margin (Handelsspanne) in annual financial statements.

The tables are here: http://www.bundesfinanzministerium.de/lang_de/nn_3380/nsc_tr...

Something like "gross profit rate" would seem to fit the bill here.

Can anyone suggest anything better?

gross profit markup rate
Explanation:
It's a "Satz" after all, which in this case translates as "rate". Otherwise it does not make sense in this context.

"Gross profit rate" ohne das "markup" (oder "mark-up") macht schon gar keinen Sinn. Es geht um die Marge und wie die kalkuliert wird und dazu braucht man einen Satz oder "rate / ratio". Also, Bruttogewinn vor Steuer.

gross profit margin

Explanation:
"Gross pofit margin" fits the definitions given for Rohgewinnaufschlagsatz, which seems to be taken from tax legislation.
