German term or phrase: Saldierung
IAS 12.71-76 looks at offsetting tax assets and liabilities. The annual report I'm translating lists the Saldierung of tax assets and liabilities in a table. When used as a noun is this translated as 'Offset' as in the heading to IAS 12.71? Just seems strange to use offset like this as a noun, especially when the respective IAS paragraphs only refer to this concept in verb form. "The offset between" gets plenty of Google hits - just two however relating to tax. What would be the noun for this Saldierung? Really 'Offset'? This weary head would appreciate a bit of help.

agree  RobinB: With Phil: "offset" would be perfectly OK. Alternatively, you could say "Offset deferred tax assets and liabilities" if there's space (it's almost always DTA and DTL that are offset, not current tax receivables/payables).
