Bus/Financial - Accounting / Internal reporting
German term or phrase: Fixkostenbrücke
There isn't much context... The document is a memo about internal reporting deadlines in an AG. Can anyone shed light on what a "Brücke" is in this context? Thanks!

Fixed costs are those that do not change with the level of sales. If sales increase or decrease but nothing else changes then fixed costs remain the same. Common examples of fixed costs include rents, salaries of permanent employees and depreciation.

agree  Inge Luus: This is how I would translate it. I was once told by a customer to use "bridge", but I have never heard of that in native English accounting terms. Fixed costs are also referred to as overhead costs.

agree  Steffen Walter: Very unusual German term to begin with. I believe your suggestion captures the meaning well.
