Lichtmotive are used to indicate in a confined space what particular product is being used somewhere.
Would tis be LED lights? Or is there a more appropriate term?

Explanation:
Your question is somewhat confusing. I'm familiar with Lichtmotive as meaning lighting sculptures, similar to Chistmas light sculptures. They do not need to be only made of LEDs, but simple so-called Christmas bulbs, or small halogens.
What you're explaining, though, sounds to me like display lighting that is used to specifically illuminate a certain area. Again, LED's are a fairly new invention in the lighting industry and other than your question whether these are LED's you give no indication as to whether or not they are actually this source. They can be halogens, low-voltage or high-voltage, flourescents or other.
