German term or phrase: Qualitätsinspektions- und Abnahmevorschrift
I'm sorry to disturb the German to English translators but I'm actually translating a document from French into English and the term QIAV appears. Somebody has kindly pointed out to me that it refers to "Qualitätsinspektions und Abnahmevorschrift".

From vague memories of German at school I think that the first word means quality inspections and from KudoZ I've found that the second word means acceptance test procedure.

Would somebody kindly confirm this ?

I haven't found an "official" translation - not sure if one exists - but this is one possibility. Vorschrift can also be regulation.

agree  Danjela: Vorschrift, if it is an official customer's document, can also be specification. Abnahme is acceptance (following the quality inspection)
