I feel sure there must be a set term for Bauzustandsdokumentation, but I can find neither "document of the state of construction" nor "documentation of the state of construction" or anything along those lines. |

How about this? If an aeroplane is to be modified in any way, I'd say you'd need to know it is in good structural shape before the work were started?
