Talking about the Messerschmitt 108, which had tricyle landing gear, I suspect this may mean the height on tricyle landing gear rather than the aircraft's height in the three-point attitude, which would presumably only apply in flight (die maximale Höhe des Flugzeugs, wenn es sich in Dreipunktlage befindet, also in dem spezifischen aerodynamischen Flugzustand). |

... would describe the aircraft's attitude standing or taxying (kind of hard, because it tends to lift the tail section when pushing the throttle forward) on its main wheels and tail wheel.
The counterpart to Dreipunktlage is Horizontallage. |
