German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Aerospace / Aviation / Space / Aircraft components & assemblies
German term or phrase: ordnungsgemäßer Sitz
Context:

Überprüfung der Montage auf ordnungsgemäßen Sitz

The final step in an assembly guide for assembly (by riveting) of aircraft components. I'm thinking along the lines of:

Inspect assembly to ensure it is properly/firmly seated.

I'm not sure, however, whether the "Sitz" refers to the rivets or the overall assembly.

proper fit
Explanation:
Unless there's more specific information, I think that "Sitz" refers to the overall assembly which would include the rivets.
