agree  Clive Phillips: This is a standard expression, for example in the Bundeswehr. "Materiel maintenance (measures)" might be preferable, although I think "equipment" is equally correct, and "materiel" seems to have gone slightly out of fashion in the UK MOD and Armed Forces.

material preservation measures


Explanation:
In some language/regional flavours "preservation" may be replaced by "conservation", but strictly speaking "preservation" is the correct term.
