This is part of an aircraft door, but I'm not sure what exactly. Obviously not scissors or shears, possibly part of a lock mechanism, but not really evidently so, as it is also included as part of the egde beams, as they serve as a stop for the edge beams, for example.

OK, when you speak of scissors and doors, this is the first thing that comes to my mind (and no snarky comments about what sort of mind *I* must have, please).

Although this is for a boat, I can see the same thing on aircraft.

Asker: Although I can imagine the same thing being possible on aircraft, it seems rather specific and looks nothing like what this door has.
