German term or phrase: bordzeit
for a test about satellite data. there's not much context because the term crops up in a table but here goes: 'Messwert M, Bordzeit zum Messwert (s).'

satellite time/onboard time
Explanation:
I guess 'Bordzeit' here refers to the local time on-board the satellite. Satellites as far as I know generally use Greenwich Mean Time (Universal Time, Zulu Time) to keep track of their onboard time, so you might want to use that.

disagree Ulrike Lieder: That term would, at least IMHO, apply to a cruise ship or an aircraft rather than to satellite data.
