German term or phrase: Schraube
Ein Doppeldecker fliegt zunächst ganz konventionell Richtung Westen. Dann vollzieht der Pilot mehrere Lenk- und Drehmanöver:
90° nach rechts
halbe Schraube
90° nach unten
Viertelschraube im UZS (Uhrzeigensinn)
etc.

Anyone ever come across Schraube being used in this way? Would "turn" maybe be the correct English translation"?

neutral  Marnen Laibow-Koser: But if this is correct, how would you do half- and quarter-rolls, as seems to be the case here?
5 hrs
-> if it's completed it's called roll, if it's not complete then half roll (the plane flies upside down) quarter roll, one of the wings points upwards the other downwards.
