This second link talks of seed spreaders or of 'power seeding (below the wet basement blurb). Sooooo, my guess would be the power seeding for this.
And I went to college so I would not have to work in the dirt. Go figure. |

| Note from asker to answererLooking at the pictures, this appears to do actually both things: pull ot a plug of earth and drop seeds into it. So I'm going for power seeding. Thanks a lot.
