“durchwachsen” possibly in sense of “durchwachsen mit keimenden PIlzen” but not sure of technical term for this. |

Maybe yes, I am not quite sure about the use of the term "spawned substrate", which seems to me to have a meaning like "inoculated substrate". Maybe "fully colonized substrate" is an option, too, as "durchwachsen" sounds as if quite a lot of fungal cells have grown already.

Asker: Would “spawned mushroom substrate” do here? Text indicates firm concerned supplies growers with crates containing mushrooms at an early stage of growth, the growers then being responsible for growing mushrooms till they can be harvested. (After the crates have been placed in “Zuchträumen” there follows a 2 week “Fruktifikation Phase” during which the crates are watered. crates are then: “an die Züchter ausgeliefert”). This is a headline in an Internet text so I was looking for something concise.
