There are virtually no hits for Rundkronenbaum or Rundkronenbäume, and what one or two hits there were provided no enlightenment whatsoever. Obiovusly, it's a tree, but beyond that, I have not got a single clue what this word means. Hope someone here has a better idea than I do. TIA and all that. |

| | round-crown trees | Explanation: I don't see why you shouldn't use the literal translation - it only a few googles, but then as you have already noted there aren't many for the German word either.
For example, this website
http://www.roseville.ca.us/civica/filebank/blobdload.asp?Blo...
describes a number of trees as "round-crown trees" (as distinct from other types such as upright, pyramidal, wide spreading). |

| Grading comment The phrase "trees with rounded crowns" gets 42,700 Google hits, so I guess that's what it must be. Thanks Armorel, but also thanks to Cilian for putting me on the "rounded crown" track. And thanks to everyone else who contributed - all assistance much appreciated. 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
