German term or phrase: Schossen / Ährenschieben

Hello everyone,

I have two terms here which I am not sure about (I know only one per question), Schossen which I have looked up as being sowing or stem elongation and Ährenschieben being ear appearance (!!??) or booting.

Die N-Düngeempfehlungen gelten nur für die Entwicklungsstadien ***** (Schossen) oder ***** (Erscheinen des Fahnenblatts bis Beginn Ährenschieben).

**** is the name of the equipment

Explanation:
Unter Schossen versteht man die Streckung der Pflanzentriebe und Ausbildung von Blütenständen (Übergang der Pflanze von der vegetativen Phase in die generative Phase). Dies ist die Voraussetzung zur Befruchtung und der Samenbildung im Jahr des Schossens.
