German term or phrase: bei vorzeitigem Umbruch
Bei vorzeitigem Umbruch werden die Nachbaumöglichkeiten durch zuvor ausgebrachte Herbizide mehr oder weniger stark eingeschränkt.

Bei vorzeitigem Umbruch im Herbst Nachbau von Getreide möglich, im Frühjahr Nachbau von Getreide, Mais und Kohlarten möglich.

Johanna is right here, it has to do with the cultivation, not the weather, although that also plays a part - as our farmers have been bemoaning all Summer!
