1000 asparagus seeds
Explanation:
Körner= seeds
Spargelsaat= asparagus seeds.

This style of double wording in German just doesn't work in English.

p.s. Asparagus seeds are big- that\'s why they call them Körner.

BTW that\'s a really big deal gift- it takes YEARS to get from seeds to something you can eat. Plus the seeds produce male and female plants. Only the male plants are used because the female puts all its energy into reproduction instead of feeding humans.
So you need to start with a thousand to have a decent chance of two or three useable plants in ten years time.
