German to English translations [PRO] Social Sciences - Architecture | | German term or phrase: Szenische Raumskizzen | | Need some last minute help here. "Szenische Raumskizzen" is the title of a series of short texts describing scenes in an urban context, somewhat literary, followed by some theoretical considerations on the role of space in our perception of the city and so forth. The text is part of an application for a course in architecture - so it's self-consciously playing on the meaning of Raumskizze as "floor plan," but I don't see how I can save that. I've played around with vignettes and sketches and scenes and space and spatial but nothing is very catchy. My deadline is late tonight, so err, help quick! Thanks! |

| | Spatial studies of the urban context | Explanation: Or 'On space in the urban context - some sketches'. Probably too late for your deadline. I'm presuming the szenisch here refers to 'staged' cityscapes, to how space is appropriated to create specific effects, rather than just being a random thing.
