German to English translations [PRO]
Art/Literary - Architecture
German term or phrase: Baukörper
From a scholarly article on spherical shapes in architecture.

"In der Kugel als *Baukörper* und -form kulminierte und verdichtete sich eine Textur von Beziehungen: zwischen einer Bauform und ihrer sich historisch wandelnden Metaphorik; zwischen der kultischen Bestimmung und der Vorstellung künstlerischer Autonomie; zwischen der Bauform und ihrem politischen Bedeutungskontext."

"körper" and "form" are italicized. I am considering structural body and structural form but am unsure if this reflects the technical meanings.
