In this case, I would ask the client if they indeed mean this as a contrast to their traditional work/art services in their gallery and other galleries (exhibitions) - as in we go beyond organizing our traditional exhibitions and promote/are actively pursuing the dissemination of and discourse about art on an international level. I believe it could mean that, and it would make sense to say that in order to introduce the venture of the curators as an "international" one. But in German, it could possibly also imply/mean "work/efforts way beyond traditional art services" ("über die Grenzen"). The way it is worded makes it a bit difficult to grasp what they are trying to say. Although, "über die (alle) Grenzen 'hinweg'" is mostly used to denote "across borders, internationally." :) |
