Dear all,

catalogue for car accessories. The part you can see here instead of my boring features is called a ‘Kulissenschaltung’ in German. Does anybody know a halfway decent English name for it? I could use ‘gear base plate’ but that isn’t really quite right. The part can be bought as an accessory for the BMW Z3. I tried the glossaries and Google, many hits in German but no English translation. I am trying to find a UK word but US is fine too.
