German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / car repair invoice
German term or phrase: Füllern
I'm having a hard time finding a translation for this word anywhere. It's on the "Arbeitsgang" section of an invoice where they're doing lots of repair and paint work on a front bumper:
KUNSTSTOFF/METALLTEILE FUELLERN
and later
STOSSFAENGER V FUELLERN ERG
Anyone have this in their lexicon?
Thanks!

filler; apply filler
Explanation:
Not quite clear whether it is the noun or the verb, but this is my tip. Plastic bumpers can be filled with plastic filler, also called "knifing stopper" in the trade (but don't ask me why!) to even out bumps.

Dents in bodywork are also filled in with filler (David's Isopon is one I remember well), which used normally to be based on a 2-component fibreglass material. This is then sanded down and painted over.
