German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / Instructions on how to bid for a contract
German term or phrase: gehört mit zum Auftragsumfang
I would appreciate comments on how I've translated this sentence. I'm not sure that I'm understanding the meaning.

The entire sentence reads:

Die Inbetriebnahme in unseren Werken gehört mit zum Auftragsumfang und wird bitte gesondert angeboten.

My tentative translation is:

Start-up in our factories is associated with the order size and it is requested that bids be made separately.

I know this does not sound good, but I feel like I have translator's block.

Any help would be much appreciated!

English translation:is included within the scope of the order
Explanation:
The gist of it is that the order is not only for the equipment, but also for the equipment to be put into operation, however the client would like a separate quote for putting the equipment into operation.

agree  writeaway: that's the usual translation. Umfang has to be scope in this context. Size won't work. not 100% sure about Auftrag-is it order or contract here?

-> Thank you, Phyllis! It is probably "order".

agree  Stefanie Reinhold: included in scope of contract/order and will please be offered separately.... that might be correct, but does it make SENSE??

-> Thanks, Stefani! Yes, it does make sense.

agree  David Moore: Stefani: maybe it has to do with the customer's internal charging or accounting procedures, but yes, I think it does make sense
