Taken from a doc about a scooter:

Und durch das ausgeklügelte Stau-System mit großem Helmfach unter der Sitzbank und abschließbarem Fach im Durchstieg kann man auf dem XXX nicht nur alles hinter sich lassen, sondern auch alles mitnehmen.

I presume the Durchstieg is the area where your legs go, but am not sure what it is in English. Is is simply 'floor'?

Although I think step-through can also be used as a noun, it might sound better to say "step-through space"
