Tech/Engineering - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / CFRP body parts
German term or phrase: Drapierbarkeit
Anyone of this term? The text is about car body parts made from carbon-fibre reinforced polymers. It seems to be the ease with which fabric fits into a mould before the plastic composite is added.

Here's an example:

Die Drapierbarkeit des textilen Halbzeugs kann eine Preformtrennung erfordern, sofern die Geometrie nicht an das Umformverhalten des Halbzeugs angepasst werden kann.

drapeability
Explanation:
My textile dict., Hohenadel, is showing "drapeability" or "draping property" for Drapierfähigkeit. Maybe that will be of some help to you here.

Thanks Rebecca, you've helped a lot. I get lots of hits for CFRP and drap(e)ability on Google.

agree  Dipl.-Ing. Robert Bach: Thumbs up. And I prefer "-bar" over "-faehig" anyway. See "Sprachpolizei" (out of print) on "streichbar" vs. "streichfaehig". However, I suggest "drapability" if you believe Google.
