..., letztendlich sind Ablösungen im *Stahlcord*-Gummibereich mit Laufflächenablösungen die Folge.

I have pictures, but even with the pictures I cannot figure out what this exactly is. Looks like the belt or carcass, but could also be a ply. Looking for the correct technical term.

agree milinad: steel corded wire or steel corded cable sounds better

  -> cord is a formal term. Cord can be made of wire, synthetic thread, etc. The term means that cord is made of steel wire.

agree JM Simon: "steel wire cord" sounds right, too :)

agree Frosty: Yup, steel wire, as in swr = steel wire rope. The basic difference between cord and rope is, as far as I know, the thickness.
