"Im Falle des Drehens der Gefäße über Kopf ist vorher sicher zu stellen, dass der Deckel das Gefäß dicht verschließt. Der Deckel ist fest anzuziehen und das Gefäß gegebenenfalls mit Parafilm abzudichten."
From an SOP/batch record about thawing and homogenising various substances. The term "über Kopf drehen" also occurs repeatedly in some tables (e.g. "20 x über Kopf drehen", "30 x über Kopf drehen" etc.). I think I know what this term is describing, but just can't think how to express it in English. (Overturn? That doesn't sound quite right.) TIA for your assistance.
