Clinical evaluation of a flowable, light-curing composite for covering gums during bleaching therapy. Under cytotoxicity it is pointed out that the greatest cytotoxic risk arises from direct contact of monomers (before polymerisation) with the gingival.
Es ist davon auszugehen, dass bei der Anwendung bei Patienten im Falle auftretenden zytotoxischer Wirkungen abgestorbenes Zellgewebe relativ resorbiert und erneuert wird, so dass langwierige Schädigungen nicht auftreten dürften.

I post this as an answer now to put emphasis on the fact that IMO these words can't be translated alone as some adjective or comparison that is missing has to be added. You can guess the meaning, but it is necessary to ask the client if the meaning is that it is absorbed relatively easily or relatively quickly or so.

neutral  Dr. Johanna Schmitt: But what does this mean? In your examples, it is either "relatively well absorbed" or "relatively absorbed better". In the source sentence, an adjective or comparison is missing, and the client has to be asked about it.
