German to English translations [PRO] Science - Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) / preparation/manufacture of microtiter plates | | German term or phrase: Austestung | There are two sentences where this occurs and I don't think the same translation will work for both instances:
Context 1:
Nach dem Mischen wird das Konjugat ca. 10 Minuten gerührt und dann mindestens über Nacht im Kühlschrank gelagert. Vor der Verwendung in einer * Austestung * wird der Ansatz 5-10 Minuten bei Raumtemperatur gerührt...
Context 2:
Je 3 Aliquots von Prozesskontrolle und Cut-off Kontrolle werden bei –20°C aufbewahrt, um evtl später (Reklamationen) eine *Austestung* durchführen zu können.
This could be from Switzerland.
I was thinking 'preliminary test' for context 1 and 'retest' for context 2, but these are very different translations for the same word... |

| | test | Explanation: It depends on the further context, but it seems to me as if "Austestung" just means "Test" here, as a quite general term.

Your suggestion might be okay, too, depending on the context, but just "test" could be appropriate as well. |
