agree Claire Cox: Yes, this would make sense - both the amelanchier and the malus are small trees with a wide spread which would be suitable for roof gardening

neutral Cetacea: You are right, "having a wide spread" is a common qualifier, but wouldn't you rather use "mit" in German if this were the meaning?

extra wide original (plant) spacing

Explanation:
These trees are grown very widely spaced to make them especially strong and symmetrical (see my reference for "solitary trees"), hence the "*aus* extra weitem Stand", meaning from extra widely spaced planting/cultivation. Of course, such trees are more expensive because growing them takes up more space.
