Kalk und Tonmehle dünn einarbeiten. babbleon (asker): 9:41pm Feb 18, 2004: context - Query: Is algal limestone a common name for a type of soil improver that we use in the garden? This is to be used in a gardening book for amateurs so the term should be suitable for a layman.

| | Calcitic lime | Explanation: According to my gardening book (one of 50 or so) and google. And algeal limestone is calcitic lime, but would not be the term commonly used. Quite honestly, the common term is always just "lime", and you would choose the one that is required for your soil - see my previous explanation about dolomitic versus calcitic lime. |
