your phrases seem OK to me Explanation: Zahn: "Einzahlungsautomat" = "auto depositor", but this was only used by one AltaVista site, the following Japanese site: http://www.oki.co.jp/OKI/Home/English/New/KENKAI/n168/n168-0... on the other hand, your "cash deposit machine", as used at this Japanese Microsoft site drew 37 AltaVista hits, mostly Asian: http://www.microsoft.com/japan/PARTNERS/INDUSTRY/ENGLISH/MIS... or "cash deposit ATM" (4 Asian AV hits) or "cash deposit station" (Zero AV hits) also sound OK. Maybe there are no such machines yet in the Western World. I have never seen one yet in Hamburg. The typical "night safe" system with a wallet is still used here. Sortenwechsler = "foreign currency exchange machine" as you said seems fine. Zahn has nothing, too new I think. This Belgian site offers: http://www.cablep.be/ "foreign currency exchange station" This British site uses the same name you used: http://www.benchmarkdatainternational.ltd.uk/benfem.htm As the word "machine" is popular for such devices, witness "ATM", I would think you could use the word here too. This New York hotel site also uses your term: http://www.mayflowerhotel.com/moreinfo.html "ATM Machine located in lobby for guest use - Foreign Currency Exchange Machine located in lobby" - HTH - Dan |

go for it! Explanation: cash deposit machine sounds OK to me - I think we just get obsessed with getting everything into a neat unit like in German. Sorry to be no use at all - just thought I'd 'add my mustard'!:-) |
