Explanation:
What is meant is that in Germany you can e.g. transfer money to your savings account by bank transfer etc.
However, then the little booklet that you have for this account is not always up to date.
The banks and post offices can only update the information in these booklets when you come in and present it to them - time consuming and not really a very "modern" way of handling things.
Seems like they're trying to find new ways of doing that - keep me posted! :-)
