Contracts to safeguard interests Explanation: In the Romain dictionary, the nearest I can find is "interessenwahrend"= safeguarding interests. The nearest noun "Interessenwahrnehmung" ist translated as "protection of interest". Hope this helps. Reference: http://[email protected] |

agreements furthering the company's interests / joint ventures? Explanation: I couldn't find the term in my dictionaries but the extract below leads me to believe that even joint ventures might be acceptable (emphasis mine): "Am 4. Interessengemeinschaft and Interessenvertrag here are clearly related. And since an Interessengemeinschaft can also be termed a joint venture, it is quite possible that this is applicable here. HTH Reference: http://www.merte.de/eisenbahn/lokbau/khd.htm |

pooling of interests Explanation: An Interessenvertrag is also known as an Interessengemeinschaftsvertrag. The variety you are asking about is a "pooling of interests" whereby two or more otherwise independent commercial entities agree to apportion their collective profits and losses in specific proportions. The other form, now illegal almost everywhere under antitrust legislation, includes things like horizontal price-fixing agreements. |
