correct strokes / keystrokes Explanation: i.e. without mistakes. In the US, typing speed is generally measured in WPM (words per minute), not individual strokes. See also: Typor Typing Tutor (16-bit) helps you improve your typing speed. The sample text you are to type is displayed, line by line, in one box, and you type in the box below it. This box only shows your correct keystrokes, and it beeps when you type an incorrect keystroke. The output box shows all your strokes (correct and incorrect). You can display and save your results including words typed this lesson, average WPM, maximum burst WPM, last burst WPM, errors and accuracy. Typing drills include random characters, random numbers, random puncuation, or text. You can use the included text files, or create your own. http://www.softseek.com/Education_and_Science/Typing_Tutors/... "correct keystrokes" is questionable, just "keystrokes" or "characters" could also be right Explanation: "correct keystrokes" is questionable, just "keystrokes" or "characters" could also be right. I could not find anything about "Reinanschläge" at either of uel's two German references. If we look further into her English reference, they used "correct keystrokes", "keystrokes" and "characters" without saying what the difference was??? http://www.typor.com/typrscrn32vb.html According to my old "Maschinenschreiben im Selbstunterricht" published in 1969, "Anschläge", in German German, includes everything: Schreibtasten, Zwischenraumtasten, Umschalttasten, and Rücktasten). The Microsoft word-counter does not appear to count Umschalttasten or Rücktasten, and always gives two figures for with and without Zwischenraumtasten = Leertasten = space keys (or return keys). "Reinanschläge" appears to be a more Austrian term. The only three Internet hits for me were Austrian. According to the one good hit below, " Reinanschläge " could also be Austrian for "keystrokes minus spaces = characters", because the mistake percentage is shown separately. http://bi1.bbi.asn-wien.ac.at/deutsch/textvera.htm "...2400 Reinanschläge in 10 Minuten, ohne dabei eine Fehlergrenze von 0,5% zu überschreiten..." If you cannot get a really autoritative answer from someone else, there is not much way you can know which alternative is right. Alternatives for the last phrase could be: "Abschreiben eines Drucktextes in der Dauer von 10 Minuten" = "Typing/Retyping/Copy typing from a printed (original) text (10 minutes)" |
