power of procuration / full commercial authority Explanation: As you see from the following explanation, there is no real equivalent. See if any of the options offered by Schäfer fit your context. Prokura f (Re, no equivalent) ,Prokura` ## 48ff HGB – power of procuration (abbreviation ,p. p.` preceding signature of holder) – full commercial authority – general commercial power of attorney (or representation) (ie, kaufmännische Hilfsperson mit den weitestgehenden Befugnissen; es sind drei Rechtsverhältnisse auseinanderzuhalten: Dienstvertrag, Vollmacht und Vertretungsmacht; under commercial law, it is a far-reaching, almost unrestricted authority defined by law and entered in the Commercial Register; plural: Prokuren; cf, Übersicht Prokura/Handlungsvollmacht) Handlungsvollmacht f (Re) limited commercial authority (ie, zur Vornahme e–r bestimmten zu e–m HdlGewerbe gehörigen Art von Geschäften od zur Vornahme einzelner Geschäfte; granted to represent a firm or company, defined in §§ 54-58 HGB and § 164 ff BGB, narrower than Prokura and entered in the Commercial Register; may be general, partial, or specific) Schfer, Hyperbook Wirtschaftsenglisch |

procuration Explanation: <uel> is absolutely right. However, I would opt for the shorter "procuration" as the term already includes the "power". "power" is therefore redundant, particularly in the telegramm style descripiton provided as context. |
