See below Explanation: Guess you're doing an auditor's report. Here is what Arthur Andersen (the company's international accounting dictionary) suggests: "The financial statements are presented in accordance with the guidelines for mid-sized companies." HTH, Will |

See below Explanation: The annual accounts are drawn up in accordance with the applicable regulations for medium-sized joint-stock companies. Note, however, that the German passive can sometimes be translated in English as an imperative, so you may be able to replace "are drawn up" with "shall be drawn up", depending on your exact context. |

see below again Explanation: Der Jahresabschluss ist zutreffend nach den Vorschriften für mittelgroße Kapitalgesellschaften aufgestellt worden. - The annual accounts / financial statements (have been prepared / have been drawn up) or (are presented) in accordance with the regulations applicable to medium-sized corporations / joint-stock companies. - For grammar fans, the German sentence is Passiv Perfekt Indikativ and NOT IMPERATIV. The English sentence above is either present simple or present perfect simple indicative passive, also NOT IMPERATIVE!!!! Most people would probably not use "have been presented" although technically that would be a more exact translation of the German grammar. For me, Will, "guidelines" is not strong enough. As far as I know, "Richtlinien" is normally translated with "guidelines". |
