|I know this normally means "refers to" but my sentence is "Der Lizenzgeber hat eine Erfindung gemacht, die sich auf einen "stapelbaren Transportbehälter bezieht." Refers to doesn't fit here - any other suggestions?|

The "refers to" is not that far off base. You could use "concerns" or "involves" or "is applicable to" or "useable with".
"The licensor has created an invention or has invented a gizmo or has designed an invention involving or applying to or concerning or useable with stackable transport(ation) containers."
