German to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Business/Commerce (general) / international software licenses
German term or phrase:Kondition
context is the installation and servicing of cash register/POS systems at gas stations in several European countries.
The company will pay bonuses the more gas stations can be equipped with the system.
prepayment bonus 10%
The way the sentence is worded, it says to me that it is the contractor, not the principal, that accepts these transnational licensing "condition(s)/terms/stipulations". Nevertheless, the use of "Kondition" is certainly uncommon. But in the end, I lean towards the "conditions/terms" in general, which of course can include fees/prices as well. Thanks everybody!!!
The way I read it, 'länderübergreifende Kondition' relates to cross-border licensing : the software vendor stipulates that his application must not be used outside Country 1, Country 2, Country 3 and stipulates that the software user (Contractor) commit to this geographic restriction.
==> irgendwas mit "negotiated price and conditions" oder so was ähnliches. Vielleicht weiss jemand mehr ?
the Contractor is the one putting these systems in for the Principal who actually runs these gas stations. I thought it had something to do with fees and not just the "condition" of having a "länderübergreifendes Bonusprogramm". Here are the next two sentences:
Beilage 1B) vereinbart."
Explanation: I think it is about a special negotiated price for this group of companies or gas stations owners or franchisees or whoever operate it.
Nearly like some special large-customer rates some companies negotiate with hotel groups or airlines. So the same "Kondition" = negotiated prices applies without any further negotations for all those who can "proof" they are part of the group/company.
Often much lower than the "rack rate","full price" or something similar.
Hope this helps.
