German term or phrase:Erbringung eines ordnungsgemäßen Nachweises
Explanation: In this case it would seem that the key is actually proof of age, but in either case the requirement is the same: In order to qualify for a discount the customer must show an appropriate or acceptable form of ID . If they are unable to do so, they will have to pay the difference between the reduced price they paid in advance and the full price.

Thinking about it, approved might be better for ordnungsgemäß, the idea being that only certain forms of ID are acceptéd
proof of identity is just another way of saying ID. It could be a passport, ID card, driving licence, student card or anything else suitable, and would normally just be glanced at by the security personnel, nothing more is necessary.
the presentation of an appropriate ID would be fine = Your solution + "an"
The word "proof" sounds to me a bit too bureaucratic and a bit unfeasible (imagine thousands of people wanting to get to a concert, the security at the entrance has (in the best case) time to have a short look at the Id and not time to proof anything (like UV light or examining the ID). So your solution is fine.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused by the "an" just wanted to sound it better.
