Duden explains "etwas mit seinem Herzblut schreiben" as follows:
"etwas mit großem innerem Engagement schreiben. . ."
Other possible translations of "mit Herzblut verkaufen" that spring to mind are
"be passionate about selling"
"be enthusiastic about selling"
Some people on Linguee and elsewhere have translated the phrase literally as "with (their) heart's blood", but that does not sound like natural modern English to me.
