I can use "broken down" in the explanation, but due to the structure of the document I'm looking more a nice concise translation for "Zerlegungsbeziehung" (it is repeated in tables, diagrams, etc.). I like the idea of using "hierarchical" a lot as it seems to accurately describe the type of process being referred to.
