Being in the UK, I use British spelling, even if it might be considered "funny" in the U.S.

I used to be a nurse and in a hospital it's vital to use the 24 hour clock, but certainly not in a training manual for managers! If you're not sure whether to use a period or comma, go for your original version "1pm to 3pm".

While the British and Americans view the 24 hour system as "military" it is quite normal in central Europe... However, working for the German branch of a large UK-based corporation, I can only confirm that am/pm is still commonly used in business and that the 24 hour system confuses most of them. Also considering your audience you might want to suggest adding a timezone as many meetings today are replaced by phone conferences, especially in international companies... You'd be surprised how many GMT scheduled phone conferences encroach on CET lunchtime...

That's what I thought, but my wife works in a hospital and finds it much too informal. They use 1300 hrs with superscript.
