German term or phrase: erwerben an
Es wurde festgestellt, dass eine voraussichtlich wertlose Kapitalbeteiligung der XYZ in Hoehe von jeweils 30% an ABC erworben wurde.

I am not sure about the "erwerben an". Just want to know if I am right in thinking that 30% of XYZ was sold to ABC... or is it the other way round.
Thanks in advance.

Explanation:
The way I understand it is that XYZ acquired a useless 30% share in ABC.

The "jeweils" however gets me puzzled. Are there several participations or is there more than one company involved?

agree  Terry Moran: It's not "an etwas erwerben", it's "eine Beteiligung an etwas erwerben". I also agree about the jeweils - very odd.
