German term or phrase: abrechnen (context)
I think I'm missing something here. Especially since I can't decide if it's "added to" or "deducted from" from the context. Any help?

The Employer is entitled to release the Employee from the continuing wage payments after termination of the contractual relationship. Any holiday pay, claims for overtime settlement and other claims for work leave shall be *deducted from/added to* the work obligation.

released time will be charged against accumulated vacation time

Explanation:
As I understand it the employer may suspend/release the employee from work while continuing to pay him/her. However, the days during which the employee is suspended will be charged against the EE's accumulated vacation time.

After notice of termination is given the Employer is entitled to release the Employee from work while continuing to pay him/her.
The \"angerechnet\" does not relate to \"the work obligation.\" \"sonstige Ansprüche auf Freistellung von der Arbeitsverpflichtung\" belongs together and it means roughly \"other claims for release from the work obligation.\"

agree  xxxCMJ_Trans: this is the one that explains it best and most correctly. You can sack people instantly if you continue to pay them but allowing for leave, time off in lieu of overtime etc.
