German to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general) | | German term or phrase: Akquisition | Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,
es geht um die Beschreibung der Tätigkeit des Geschäftsführers einer Baufirma. Zu seinen Aufgaben gehört die "Akquisiton von Großprojekten", d.h. er soll Aufträge "an Land ziehen". "Acquire" und "acquisiton" sind hier falsche Freunde...was hält ihr von einer Übersetzung rund um "bidding"? Thanks for your help! |

| Grading comment Thanks for all the wonderful input - you guys are great! I opted for "secure major projects" which I think is a great translation for "Akquisition von Großprojekten". Thanks again! 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
