Law/Patents - Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs | | German term or phrase: daß weder der Notar außerhalb seiner Amtstätigkeit | I am translating a certified copy of a last will and testament from German to English and I came across this expression which was in this sentence: Auf Nachfrage des Notars erklärte der Erschienene, daß weder der Notar außerhalb seiner Amtstätigkeit noch eine Person, mit der sich der Notar zur gemeinsamen Berufsausübung verbunden oder mit der er gemeinsame Geschäftsräume hat oder hatte, in der hier betroffenen Angelegenheit bereits tätig war.
My initial translation is "that neither the notary or another person" but I have a feeling that there is an expression specifically for the whole sentence.
