German term or phrase: Pst Dietzenbach Stärke 1/6
I am just trying to make some sense of the phrase above, which appears in a list of particular German police units. I know Dietzenbach is a place, but Pst is an abbreviation for something...what could it be? Also I haven't got much idea what Stärke 1/6 means at all!

Any help would be useful.

Thanks

English translation:Pst Dietzenbach Stärke 1/6
Explanation:
Hi Richard,
as Kim said, "Pst" would be "Polizeistelle". I would imagine the "Stärke" refers to the number of officers at the station, i.e. literally "strength. What the numbers mean though, I have no idea

I Mean "Polizeistation" of course, not "-stelle"

Reference information:

Asker: Fantastic explanation. I don't think you can translate it easily into a single English word, but I'm so glad to know what it means. Thanks!
